For Christmas this year, my hubs and I signed Claire (our sweet daughter and Claire of Dani Claire) up for a subscription to ArtSnacks. ArtSnacks is a subscription service where you get 4-5 full-size art supplies plus a snack (which usually disappears as soon as Claire opens the box) delivered each month.
After a couple months of receiving the subscription box, I thought it would be fun to create a challenge where both Claire and I create something using the supplies from the box. #1 It's always fun to try out new art supplies. #2 We actually USE what we get every month.
Create something/anything using ONLY the supplies from this month's ArtSnacks box.
Two Sennelier French Artists' Watercolors (black & yellow), a Raphaël Mini Precision Brush, a Faber-Castell Goldfaber Sketching 2H Pencil, Sakura Pigma Micron PN pen, and a 2" x 6" sample of Fabriano Artistico Watercolor Paper.
I love what we created! We definitely stuck with our favorite things: Claire and her beautiful girls, me and my bright flowers.
This was a super fun challenge! The supplies from the box were all awesome, plus for our challenge, it was nice having a limited number of supplies to choose from. Sometimes I get stuck in the overwhelm of deciding which supplies to use AND what to create. On a side note, I'm so happy the yellow and black paints, when mixed, made green! Shooo!
We will definitely do this again next month.
Have you tried any art box subscriptions? Let me know which ones and what you liked about them in the comments.
P.S. I am in no way affiliated with ArtSnacks. My hope is that this post inspires you to create something artsy and/or have an art challenge of your own.
